Naglabas ng kanilang pahayag sina Nadine Lustre at Christophe Bariou tungkol sa issue ng Tuason beach reef destruction sa Siargao.
Ano ba ang issue sa Tuason beach ng Siargao at bakit nadamay ang mag-jowang sina Nadine at Christophe?
Naglabas kasi ng ulat ang S.E.A Movement Inc. o ang Siargao Environmental Awareness Movement Inc. dahil maraming residente ang nagalit sa pagpapa-patag ng mga coral reefs sa Tuason beach para lang bigyang-daan ang isang proyekto.
Anila : “A luxury villa development used a backhoe to flatten what seems to be reefs. The community is angry. So what now?,
“Our reefs are our protection, our fishery, our surf breaks. Destroying them is a violation of laws. But the damage has already been done.” ayon sa kanilang ulat.
Isa ang dating aktres na si Andi Eigenmann ang nag-react tungkol sa pagkasira ng mga coral reefs sa Tuason beach, ayon sa kanya once na masira ang natural na kalikasan ay hinding-hindi na ito maibabalik pa sa dati.
Ani Andi : “Now we see others coming in for the estetiiqqqq, for the siargao is my home bruhhh. Those who are completely missing the point!! Some even go as far as backhoe-ing beachfronts for their luxury villas, touching what has not been touched for a reason.
“What they don’t realize is that when you disrupt nature, it will never be the same again. (Or do they realize this and simply just. Dont. Give. A damn?).” bahagi ng pahayag ni Andi.
Dito na nadamay ang aktres na si Nadine Lustre at ang kanyang Filipino-French boyfriend na si Christophe Bariou dahil involved sa proyektong ito ang kanilang kaibigan at business partner.
Paglilinaw ni Christophe : “I want to make it absolutely clear that Nadine and I have no part in the destruction of the reef in Tuason, nor are we in any way involved in the project there. Like everyone else, we are saddened, disappointed, and frustrated by what happened,
“Ver De Siargao Restaurant-which is also being unfairly targeted-has nothing to do with this. Ver De was built on sustainability and respect for the environment.” bahagi ng statement ni Bariou.
Nanawagan rin ang boyfriend ni Nadine na sana ay tigilan na ang pambabatikos sa kanilang restaurant business, dahil labas ang kanilang negosyo sa kung anong proyekto ang pinasok ng kanilang business partner dahilan sa pagkasira ng mga coral reefs sa Tuason beach.
Dagdag ni Christophe : “We do not support or condone such actions. While the person accused is a business partner in this restaurant, his project in Tuason is entirely separate.
“We condemn all forms of hate speech, but we also believe in due process. We trust this matter will be addressed according to the law by the proper agencies, and we appreciate that the proper process is already underway.” dagdag nito.
Isang araw pagkatapos maglabas ng statement si Christophe, nagsalita na rin si Nadine tungkol sa issue, ayon sa aktres na kahit sila ng kanyang boyfriend ay apektado sa pagkasira ng mga coral reefs sa Tuason Beach.
Suportado din nila ang panawagan ng mga residente na dapat ay may managot sa batas ng kalikasan at batas ng pamahalaan ang sino man na sangkot sa pagkasira ng mga coral reefs sa paligid ng Tuason.
Ani Nadine : “Like everyone else, Chris and I are deeply affected by what happened at Tuason Beach. The destruction there goes against every law of nature and must be held accountable under the law, and we fully acknowledge and support that.
“It’s no secret that the person involved is a friend. That makes it all the more heartbreaking to see not only the damage done to the island, but also the betrayal of what Chris and I have been fighting for.” bahagi ng pahayag ng aktres.
